Last night I watched an old episode of Whose Line Is It Anyway and have a new great respect for Colin Mochrie. Out of nowhere he told the single greatest joke I've ever heard.
"60s rock and roll band The Byrds have announced their 24 city reunion tour, though due to the absence of a few original members, George W. Bush will be joining them. To save money and show off his talent, Bush will be playing both guitar and drums. They have released a statement saying 'A Bush in the band is worth two in the Byrds.'" |

| getting a driver's license while squatting?? |
[Jul. 23rd, 2008|05:25 pm] |
has anyone ever tried to do this? here's my scenario: i've (potentially) found a good, secure abandoned house to squat in Asheville [at least until it gets cold], but i might need to get a driver's license for a job (if i am even hired... if not, this isn't an issue). the house HAS an address, yah, but i'd need to have the DL sent to me, and i doubt mr. postman would deliver mail to abandoned house. read somewhere that NC will not accept a PO box as a valid address anymore, otherwise i'd just do that...
anyone who has any advice, hit me up - RENT = RANSOM FOR EXISTENCE.

I want Zach Braff to narrate my life like he does on Scrubs.
For instance, say I'd be getting ready for bed. It'd go something like this:
"Sometimes, being awake for 12 or more hours can make you kinda tired. I think that's why going to sleep after being up that long is so gratifying."
Or, say I'd be shopping at Wal-Mart:
"Sometimes, when you're buying stuff, it can be difficult finding exactly what's on your grocery list. I think that's why having everything in one store can make shopping a lot easier."
Why not me? Why can't I have that?

| moving to the bigger city. |
[Jul. 21st, 2008|02:07 pm] |
So here is the short of it....
Holly and I are moving to New Orleans in 2 weeks. For the past couple of months we have been working on film sets as background (a.k.a extras)its fun and its easy but I am in the process of trying to join a film crew. We are moving to the Polymnia Building on Prytania and I am pretty excited.
the battery on my phone is broken so i am waiting for the mail. i miss all of my friends, but i have to do some work before i can come out and play. if your in the dale stop by. i am one of the last houses occupied by anyone i know. dutch's, ab's, and various other of my favorite haunts are now hay covered lots. times are changing, but aren't we all. i'm sorry to those that it seems like i have erased from my life, it had to be done so i could get moving. all in good time.
the hard part isn't even over, its just starting and i couldn't be happier. i quit school and am starting my life in the film industry, wheels are in motion for good things. |

Yesterday was a terrible terrible day which was both ruined and saved by the Dark Knight. Two attempts to see it were thwarted by the asshole masses of people who all wanted to see it, so I charged up to the theatre to try and make the 10pm to find that it was out until 11:40. I bought the ticket and went to sleep in my car. Finally I saw the movie.
TOTALLY FUCKING WORTH IT! That was the best superhero movie of all time and outside of superhero movies just a great great movie. Heath Ledger was incredible, i mean like, he'll probably get nominated for an Oscar because he died but if he were alive he'd still fucking deserve it. Awesome awesome awesome movie. |

| | Me and Bobby McGee is stuck in my head | ] | I am going to Knoxville today. I don't have any clue as to what I'll be doing once I get there. I will find a way to occupy myself for about 4 hours, or else I'll just spend money I shouldn't be spending to see Weird Al there with David. Either way is fine with me. I might go to the Tennessee River and rent a paddle boat.
I'd like a sandwich. |

Ж-Men...but not the ones you might expect! This week LJ Russia launched Ж-Men, a new comedy series about superheroes, inspired by the LJ communities dedicated to superheros, comics and cartoons. The title's "Ж" comes from ЖЖ, the nickname for LiveJournal in Russia.
Ж-Men's script is written by a group of LJ enthusiasts who also happen to be television professionals. Who knew? Following the premiere, five more episodes will be broadcast over the next two weeks. We hope you find the series fresh and enjoyable.
This is, of course, an experiment for LiveJournal. As always, we'd love to hear what you think! |

This is Jessica. You know how I can post on Sam's livejournal? because he had it signed in on his computer. You know why I'm at his computer? Because computers tend to be in the possession of their owners. So... If Sam is usually near his laptop, and I am now near his laptop, then, by the transitive property, I am near Sam.
Yeah.

Metal Gear Solid 4 was absolutely amazing. So many intense moments, the giant robot fight, crawling through the microwave corridor, the final fistfight. Jeez. I was kinda bummed that it was over. There really isn't another game that has that kind of scale and magnitude. The only problem I had was that I felt like Snake really needed to die at the end. |
